What an incredible experience despite the frigid weather! To be in the presence of four big bull buffalo as they made their way through some seriously deep snow with no hesitation was so humbling and surreal. The challenges to keep the camera warm enough to shoot, the batteries from not dying and lens from fogging up, all while not loosing my focus was worth every freezing moment and every shot taken! Thank goodness I had the snow coach to retreat to to warm up in! And to think... the wild buffalo live through the arctic chill like it is just another day.
